Terms of use

PLAYSOBR is a real-time multiplayer party-games web platform. Players join a room via a code or QR code and play together from their phones. Game access is free; an account is optional, used to keep your stats.

Registration is reserved for people aged at least 15, in line with the digital-consent minimum age in France (GDPR). When creating an account, the user declares being at least 15.

Without an account, the games are open to everyone, whatever their age. Games marked Alcohol (The Pyramid, The Circle, The Aperitif) are meant for adults; sips can be swapped for points or dares.

• Respectful display names; no hateful, discriminatory or harassing content.
• No illegal content shared via the platform.
• Common sense and respect for the other players around the table.
• Always drink responsibly. Alcohol-themed games are suggestions; you can play with any drink.

Some games (Les Témoins · Catastrophe) use Google's Gemini API to generate verdicts or scenarios. The inputs sent are anonymised. The model can refuse to answer inappropriate prompts; this is not a malfunction.

The service is provided as is, with no availability or continuity guarantee. PLAYSOBR can be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or any technical reason, without notice. In-memory game sessions can be lost when the server restarts.

If your behaviour breaches these terms (abuse, spam, prohibited content), an account can be suspended or deleted without notice. You can also delete your account at any time from the danger zone of your profile.

Access to the 12 games from the phone is and will remain free. TV Mode (casting a game to a large screen) is offered as a paid option via two plans: €4.99/month subscription or lifetime purchase (€19 for the first 50 buyers, then €29).

A free 7-day trial is offered to test TV Mode with no commitment. No credit card is required to start the trial. After 7 days, Premium access stops unless you subscribe explicitly - there is no automatic post-trial charge.

Payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS certified provider. PLAYSOBR does not store or have access to your card data; only Stripe identifiers (customer_id, subscription_id) and your status history (trial, active, cancelled) are kept on PLAYSOBR.

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your profile (« Manage subscription » button) which opens the Stripe portal. Premium access stays active until the end of the paid period (no prorated refund on monthly).

Right of withdrawal: under article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code, you have 14 days to withdraw after purchase. NOTE: if you started the free trial or used TV Mode during that period, you are deemed to have waived this right (article L221-28 §13°, full execution of a service with your explicit consent). Refund requests (outside withdrawal) handled case-by-case - email contact. Lifetime purchases are final unless a defect is established.

These terms can be amended. Significant changes will be announced with reasonable notice (info banner or email to registered accounts). By continuing to use the service after the update, you accept the new version.
